George Faatz is the Director of External Affairs for Virginia Natural Gas and is responsible for developing and managing relationships between VNG and community stakeholders, including state and local officials, and civic and community organizations. Prior to joining Virginia Natural Gas in 2011, George was the chief of staff to the House Majority Caucus Chairman, Delegate Tim Hugo. In addition to his work in the Virginia legislature, he has an extensive background in political campaigns and grassroots advocacy. George currently serves on the Virginia Beach Mayor’s Energy Advisory Council, the Business Consortium for Arts Support, the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce’s Norfolk Board and the Virginia Gentlemen Foundation. In 2015, he was named Top Forty Under 40 in Hampton Roads by Inside Business. George holds a bachelor’s degree in public administration from George Mason University and is working towards a Master’s in Business Administration from the Raymond A. Mason School of Business at The College of William and Mary. He resides in Virginia Beach with his with Christen.
